And by the use of LEAN tools and Questioning Techniques these activities can be eliminated or reduced in frequency. Very often, the ratio of Value Added (VA) activities to Non-Value-Adding (NVA) is in the order of single digits.
This approach requires a project structure involving all organizational levels.
